Aleph v. 23 Upgrade: New Features/Functionality

This guide will provide training for the new features and functionality that comes with the upgrade to v. 23.

TLS and SSL added to SMTP settings (Opt-in)

The communication between Aleph and the SMTP server can now be done at a more secure level.

The following two options have been added:



These changes should be made on each machine that will be sending emails to patrons. You will need to confer with your IT staff to see if your SMTP server supports TLS or SSL.

You can configure secured communications by going in the Aleph Admin module --> Configuration --> Email Settings or it is also possible to configure this functionality in Alephcom/tab/Alephcom.INI in the mail section.
