Aleph v. 23 Upgrade: New Features and Functionality

This guide will provide training for the new features and functionality that comes with the upgrade to v. 23.

Validity of expected return date is checked

When Receiving a Request in AlephILL, if the Expected Return Date (or the date the item is due back to the lender) is before the date it's Received, staff will get a pop-up error message: "Expected return date is not valid!"

An expired Expected Return Date should rarely be an issue.

The Expected Return Date is calculated based on the loan period for the item that is sent from the Lending Library. The loan period for UBorrow is 45 days. FALSC has edited the loan period in the circulation policy for libraries participating in lending their regular loan items for UBorrow. So if this error occurs it is definitely due to some problem and most likely FALSC will need to assist to fix the error.

Below is a short video demonstrating the Expected Return Date pop-up error message.
