Aleph v. 23 Upgrade: New Features/Functionality

This guide will provide training for the new features and functionality that comes with the upgrade to v. 23.

Uninstall Aleph v20

To uninstall previous versions of the Aleph client:

1.  On the Windows desktop, click Start, point to Programs, and then find the group for the client you want to uninstall.

Or, for Windows 10, click the Window icon on the bottom left of screen, scroll down the programs list to find the Name of your Aleph installation and select the name.

2.  In the menu that appears, click Uninstall.

3.  When the uninstall window appears, select Automatic, and then click Next.

4.  Click Finish. The selected version of the ALEPH client and all associated files will be removed.

NOTE** Program group names are determined when applications are installed.  You must find the group name for ALEPH that was entered during installation.


If the clients do not show up in Programs to uninstall. Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your C:/ drive
  2. Find the directory with the v. 20 client
  3. First delete the unwise32.exe
  4. IF there is one, delete the INSTALL.LOG. (sometimes there is an INSTALL.LOG and sometimes there isn’t)
  5. Then delete the all other folders, Acq, etc. at once
  6. Go back to your C:/ drive to delete the top empty folder
