Aleph v. 23 Upgrade: New Features and Functionality

This guide will provide training for the new features and functionality that comes with the upgrade to v. 23.

Printing Setup

In UBorrow there are 2 types of printouts that will need to be setup, one in Lending, one in Borrowing:

Lending:

  • If you want pullslips to print automatically, you will need to setup the pullslip job.
  • Most University Libraries were setup for automated printing of pullslips in V20 and already have a printID assigned.  If you would like automated printing setup and have never done so before, or don't recall your printid, please submit a case and we'll help you with this.

On the pc that will be used to process the pullslip jobs, follow the steps in this Knowledgebase Article, https://support.flvc.org/knowledge-base/kbdw/KBA-01602-L6K3

Borrowing:

  • Once you Receive the requested item in AlephIL, two bits of information is generated:
  • The Arrival Letter: which can be emailed to the patron to let them know the item is available for pickup.
  • The Arrival Slip: which can be printed and placed with the book on the Hold Shelf.
  • Follow the steps in this Knowledgebase Article to set this up, https://support.flvc.org/knowledge-base/kbdw/KBA-01622-Z7W7

Note:  If the standard setup discussed in these KB articles do not exactly fit your workflow, please don't hesitate to submit a HelpDesk case, and we'll work with you on the setup.
